Finding Your Voice

Last week I attended HuddleB2B 2019, an invitation only interactive marketing conference, hosted by Desantis Breindel. One of the excellent presentations “Finding Your Voice” focused on how once a brand has identified its personality, it needs to develop a consistent voice that represents that personality.

My take away – The need for a company to have an articulated personality and then the voice to represent it, is to connect the brand on a personal level with its audience, thereby creating a tighter bond with their customer. For established companies, identifying their personality requires putting their brand in personal/emotional terms. Then finding the voice that expresses that in all their communications. For less established companies and/or companies seeking to change their personality; their challenge is to identify the personality they wish to aspire to. This requires understanding the needs of the customer they are targeting. In both cases this takes real effort. But, how many companies take a step back from the tactical day to day of making the sale, to devote meaningful time to strategy?

Great meeting – congratulations Desantis Breindel!
