  • Led the Atlas division of the Dixie commercial division from 2014/03 – 2018/10.

  • Collaborated with leadership in identifying and planning the consolidation of the two commercial operating divisions into one entity (2018/10 – 2019/3).

  • Worked closely with the founder of the company to develop a very successful, highly profitable business.

    • Shifted the go-to-market strategy from a commodity-based, dealer-focused approach to one that was demand-driven.

    • Adjusted sales tactics to support a demand-driven process that focused on the architectural and design community in middle- to high-end commercial market segments.

    • Recruited and trained team members.

    • Spearheaded changes to the product portfolio, generating industry recognition for creative leadership for Atlas.

  • All of these steps resulted in a plan we referred to as the “Atlas Appropriate” approach. It became the overarching company strategy.

  • Played an instrumental role in sales to and negotiations with key customers, resulting in the creation of strong, high-volume strategic account relationships.

  • Identified technologies to bring new and unique products to market, yielding a greater diversity to the company’s product offering.

  • Determined product direction and appropriate price points.

  • Managed the company’s relationship with Starnet, the largest commercial flooring contractor co-op in the industry.

  • Initiated the process of selling Atlas. Ultimately led the due-diligence team working with the acquiring company.

  • Formed and led joint venture with Irish manufacturer of Axminster carpets to penetrate U.S. market.

  • Developed a go-to-market strategy that included developing award-winning running line products, a unique concept in the Axminster segment at that time.

  • Hired appropriate designers and assisted in product development.

  • Created an innovative go-to-market strategy for a multi-line manufacturer’s rep.

  • Streamlined product lines and developed a separate division focused on commercial interiors.

  • Structured a product offering that was broader than those of vertical manufacturers at that time, effectively delivering a single source of flooring to the architectural and design community.

  • Introduced a separate hospitality product package aimed at major end-users, including textiles for bedding and drapery in addition to flooring.
